I am Woman. I identify strongly as a woman, a feminist and someone who strives for inclusion and equality for all. I choose to celebrate diversity and work to find new ways to honour and reflect the individuals and groups before me.

In 2014, I began transitioning from the American Sign Language / English Interpreting industry to writing in multi-media. Starting with an interest in theatre, I trained and learned the art of playwrighting and honing voice, character and plot development. I continue to build on these storytelling structures with each new project and collaboration.
Over the years, writing has allowed me to explore the mediums of theatre, YouTube, television, online articles, screenplays, short films, essays, documentary scripts, radio documentaries, etc.
A project tells you what form it needs to take, and it is through honouring that belief that I have developed a well-rounded creative writing practice and skill set.

I am creative. For me, it's not just a practice; it's a study, and I deeply believe in the craft of creativity along with the art of processing each unique piece one comes across.
Art is made not because it has to be made but because it compels someone enough to make it. This is an act of vulnerability and courage that deserves time, space, and mindfulness to be processed and understood by each unique person who makes and takes in the making.

I am Bookish. Books are my first love. They are my earliest memories, my earliest companions, and my earliest joys. Through the craft of writing and story, I have been able to cope, learn, and grapple with some of life’s most difficult themes.
Through continuing the act of reading, I have found a continued awakening, awareness and openness to the world around me. Literacy is, by far, our world's most important skill for all of humanity.

I am a foodie, and I adore good food. I am moved by how culture, tastes, seasons, and texture all come together on a plate. I am so thankful that I live in a province of diverse cultures, tastes, and opportunities for the palate.
